Just as the dust was starting to settle on Tama's auspicious 2011 entry into the marching percussion market, the drum builder has unleashed another surprise: Tama Marching Percussion has announced it will join forces with the venerable marching brass company Kanstul Musical Instruments.

We had so much fun at TMEA 2013 we were sorry to see it end. Our new booth location worked out well, as we met even more new directors, educators and young musicians. Since space commitments are reserved far in advance of the show, the introduction of our new brass line, Tama by Kanstul, made for a tight floor plan. Everybody made it work. The word about the drums has spread quite a bit, so there was a steady flow of both the curious and the converted. Add the surprise of new horns to that traffic and you could say that by the time we got home we were pretty talked out!

And given the history that the University's drumline represents, we at Tama are honored to have been chosen to help continue The Crew's great tradition.

We welcome the newest members of the Tama family, Cedar Hill High School, and their Longhorn Red Army Band Drumline! Located just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area, the drumline's list of accomplishments at the state, regional and national levels are as impressive as they are long. Led by veteran drummer, instructor and associate director Rusty Wells, the Red Army Band drumline is thrilled with their new Tama drums.
