Tama Introduces New Endorsers

Our innovative Tama marching percussion products have garnered the attention of drummers throughout the marching percussion world. We've heard from all kinds of players—from freshmen drumline hopefuls to veteran bandleaders for bringing common sense gear solutions to age-old problems. Now Tama is honored to announce their first generation of marching percussion endorsers: Roger Carter, Ivan Pacheco, and Dan Wahl.

Roger Carter

Roger Carter has more than 25 years of experience with the drums. He was first introduced to the world of marching percussion as a high school student at Mission Viejo H.S., and continued his drumming career in Southern California with the Kingsmen and the Velvet Knights. Afterward he spent 4 years as a member of the Concord Blue Devils, culminating with two years as section leader, a world championship title and a high percussion award. He then spent 6 years as a staff member with BD, winning 3 DCI titles and 2 high percussion awards.

More recently, Roger was the snare tech/battery instructor for the Bluecoats drum & bugle corps in 2012. He is now a battery instructor for Mission Viejo High School, Capo Valley High School, Dana Hills High School, Century High School, and battery arranger for Fairfield High School. He currently resides in Mission Viejo, CA.

Ivan Pacheco

A drummer from the age of five, Pacheco first gained notice with the Pacific Crest Youth Organization. His reputation grew as he worked his way up the Riverside Community Collage drum line in 2001. Ivan made his mark on the national scene with the world champion drum and bugle corps, the Blue Devils. After taking the 2004 Snare I and E title, Ivan appeared with the popular stage show "Riptide" at Sea World in San Diego, followed by an engagement in the extravagant "Parade De Carnival" Universal Studios in Japan performing in their extravagant "Parade De Carnival". Today he entertains thousands daily at Disneyland Resort in "Mickey's Soundsational Parade."

Dan Wahl

Dan Wahl is the bass drum tech for the four-time WGI Independent World Class Champion Riverside City College Winter Percussion Ensemble and the RCC Marching Tigers Band. RCC is also where Dan served as a member from 1999 to 2003 and captured his first WGI World Championship Gold Medal with the show the "Sound of Silence." During this time Dan also performed with the Concord Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps, earning two silver medals at DCI World Championships. Now focused on performance and education he teaches groups such as Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps, Mission Viejo High School, Ayala High School.

As a performer Dan Wahl has entertained all over the globe, including notable performances at Universal Studios Japan. Today Dan continues to entertain thousands daily at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA and has appeared and recorded for the film and television industry, including NBC's "The Office" and Fox's "American Idol." Dan actively performs and serves as a clinician in the Southern California area.
